What’s wrong with Anger? #1 “A quick-tempered man acts foolishly” (Proverbs 14:17) gets angry easily
#2 “for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God.” (James 1:20)
Do we notice that the more we get angry, THE MORE THE OTHER PERSON GETS ANGRY? #3 “An angry man stirs up strife, And a furious man abounds in transgression.” (Proverbs 29:22)
What can we do to control our anger? #4 “let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath;” (James 1:19) #5 “The heart of the righteous studies how to answer, But the mouth of the wicked pours forth evil.” (Proverbs 15:28) #6 “Resist the devil and he will flee from you. What about if someone else is getting angry, what do I do? • Don’t get angry back. Don’t yell • Speak with a gentle tone, and use gentle words. • Pray that God fills them with peace. #10 “A soft answer turns away wrath, But a harsh word stirs up anger.” (Proverbs 15:1)

To Practice… • Whenever I get angry this week, remember that my reaction could lead to many sins; hurting others, and God, so before I say something mean or yell, I should remember that. • God doesn’t want us to sin when we get angry, so I should try my best not to, and ask Him for help. • When someone else is angry, don’t yell or get angry. Just keep speaking gently and say soft words. This will help calm their anger. • Don’t make anyone else angry! • Pray that God give fill us with patience and humility and help us overcome our anger.
