Questionnaire Results

1. Questionnaire Results I handed out 10 questionnaires to get the results of a variety of different people, therefore I can see what their different opinions are. I also handed the questionnaires out to people of different age groups, so that I get a variety of different opinions. Here are all of the results from the questionnaires:

2. How often do you purchase a magazine? From these results, we can see that the majority of the 10 people purchase a magazine weekly, as a routine. Hardly any people purchase a magazine daily. Also, hardly anyone purchase a magazine monthly, and the same for people who do not buy magazines at all. However, a reasonable amount of people occasionally purchase a magazine. From this I can see that weekly magazines will be most appropriate for people who wish to buy a magazine weekly and also people who wish to buy magazines occasionally. This is because if people buy occasionally then it is most likely that they only purchase magazines which appeal to them, therefore weekly magazines will give them multiple chances to buy a specific magazine that they like.

3. What persuades you to buy a magazine? From these results I can see that only one of the 10 people purchase magazines for their competitions. Two people purchase their magazines for the freebies with the magazines, which is still a low amount.

4. How much do you pay for a magazine? These results show that most people prefer to pay for magazines of £3.01 - £4.00, as this is enough for a higher quality magazine but is still a reasonable price. Hardly anyone decided to go for the cheap price, as it is most likely that the magazine will not be very good.

5. What is your favourite music genre? From these results, most people prefer rock music. Also, a lot of people like Indie, which is a type of rock music. From this I have decided that I will focus my magazine rock music.

6. How often would you like a new magazine to be produced? These results show that a huge number of people would like a new magazine to be produced weekly. I think this is because weekly magazines become a routine, which is why people prefer magazines to produced this way.

7. What additional features would you like to see on a magazine cover? From this we can see that there a lot of people who prefer to see celebrity interviews on the front cover of a magazine. This is so they can see the opinions of their favourite celebrities.

8. What articles persuade you to purchase a magazine? From these results, I can see that music is the most popular article which persuades customers to purchase a magazine. Not one of the ten people I questioned decided that community articles could persuade them to buy a magazine. Music had the largest amount of votes by a long way.

9. What is a good name for a indie/rock magazine? Riff magazine has the most amount of votes. I think that Rock Magazine did not receive as many votes as it is an obvious name for a magazine. The Modern world may not have been chosen as it does not relate to rock music too much. Solo magazine received some votes, however Riff Magazine had the most votes by far.

10. What sort of magazine do you prefer? Only two of the people who I asked prefer a magazine that contains magazines with a bit of everything. However, eight of the people say that Specific Genre Based Magazines would be a better choice for my magazine, therefore the customers wont be disappointed as they will know what type of magazine they will be buying and what the magazine will contain.
