Project Focus: • Preparation for new certification assessments (edTPA; new certification exams) • Inclusion of CCSS in teacher preparation and arts and sciences curriculum • Incorporation of data-informed instruction within teacher preparation programs • Understanding APPR and its implications for teacher/leader preparation programs

Impact on Colleges and Universities • System-wide impact: All parties & Enrollment • Course content must satisfy both edTPA and Specialized Professional Associations (SPAs) • SOE Faculty prepare candidates for edTPA demands prior to student-teaching • New Responsibilities for Field Supervisors
Tips and Tricks (1) • Students provide cameras – *audio* • Subtitles • Sea change – compressed timeline • Fear • Hot Potato! • Realign SPA rubrics for Methods classes
Tips and Tricks (2) • Adjust Field Seminars for edTPA but SPAs too • Video from beginning of student teaching • Submit during first 7 week placement • Writing emphasis, more than video
