  2. Project Objective Goal: Reducing micronutrient malnutrition and improve dietary intakes of vitamin A and ironfor 225,000Hhs in 13 districts in Uganda by 2015. Purpose: Increasing the production & consumption of Orange Sweet Potatoes (OSP)and high iron beans in project area

  3. Specific Objectives • Developing and testing appropriate biofortified varieties of high iron beans and orange sweet potato • Enhancing production of high iron beans and orange sweet potato • Developing market linkages and business support services • Assessing the impact of implementation approaches

Constraints for M&E activities • Poor culture for record keeping among NGOs • Lack of skills for data and information management • Inefficient data bases used for data capture, storage, processing and sharing • Insufficient technical / computer skills among field staff • Insufficient skills for collecting and reporting qualitative data
