Timing Plan. • Till end November 2007 (week 46) : producing the bank, training and hiring people core 1. • Last production date in Chesterfield : week 46 2007. • Building at location India, Pune ready : first week of December 2007. • Moving poduction line : week 47 2007 … week 03 2008. • PPAP : end January 2008 (week 4 and 5). • SOP : begin February (week 6). • SOP phase 1 : Start production in 1 shift and expand to 3 shifts. • Full production in 3 shifts : week 12. • First delivery out of Pune : May 2008. 1

  3. Bank build situation. • Starting points : • Customer schedule weekly 16.720 parts. • Planned schedule VCST Powertrain weekly 29.000 parts (includes third shaving machine (VCST IP) and weekly extra 9.000 outsourced turned blanks). 2

Hiring – training plan. • Organisation core 1: • 1 Plant/operations manager. • 1 Engineering manager. • 1 Quality manager. • 1 Method/maintenance engineer. • 5 hourly positions for core 1 (3 operators, 1 Q-inspector, 1 Tool sharpener). • Finance, HRM and Logistics covered by Joined Venture. • Core 2 and 3 : Hiring blue collars for shift 2 and 3. 4

Support VCST Powertrain and VCST group. • Training Indian White and Blue collars core 1 in VCST Powertrain. • Training Indian White collars in VCST IP. • 1 VCST Powertrain Engineer for 6 months at location Pune. • 1 VCST IP project manager at location Pune. • Quality guarded by Global Quality VCST and VCST Powertrain. • Material change guarded by VCST global purchasing. • Disassembly and assembly assisted by VCST Engineering. 5

  7. Raw material (4140 H). • Actual situation: • Steelmill: Macsteel (purchased through Earle M. Jorgenson Co.) • Sawing: Rassey. • Quench & temper: Metallurgical Processing Company. • Turning: Rassey. • New situation (material from Asia): • -Steelmill: Sunflag at Nagpur, India. • -Forging: AFL (Ahmednagar Forgings Limited = Amtek Forging facility). • -Turning: AFL. • PPAP’s : end June 2007 (2 x 300pcs). • Pre production run at VCST Powertrain : 2 x 10.000pcs oktober 2007. • 2nd supplier in investigation : ISMT (Indian Seamless Metal Tube) at Pune. 6
