Childhood • I pass my childhood in Kabul city.
My House • Sister have a three-stair house. Family clean the house. This family just for cleaning. Build a separate room for them. Husband house seven bedroom. Living room have a big tree, citrus. It’s destroy. That building destroy by the mujahedeen people. Another state home, but not like the Kabul city house.
Education • Five years degree. Chemical beeo-lohgy. I’m lucky my employer. They accep my education, and I have good job.
Marriage • When I was student for university, I had a best friend. She is my husband’s sister. The first class, she decided to come my house. I doesn’t see her brother. During one years, they come and go. We take the party the first time, a hundred people coming, and this guy I saw standing.
Culture • Mazari Sharif have a very good mosque. Big and famous. All over the country, the people come there and pray. Some people have idea if they have sickness, if they go there, maybe they will be good. If they have hope or wish, maybe God accept. Is too big and too nice in the mosque. All this they work by gold. The floor have too expensive rag. I cannot do that. I’m not good Muslim.
Burqa • I have to wear. The government is change. I have to change. Cover me feet, me her.
Life in Tajikistan • Move to another state is border with Uzbekistan (in 1998). We live for 10 years in Rushya. I work for school in Rushya. Have a hard time in Rushya because my husband had a business. When he works, a lot of Rushyan people steal the munee. All the time the Rushyan people scare my husband. “Give me money. You are Afghan. You are rich people. Everythings.” Sometimes I could not give to them something. I had to clean, they are mad. Why doesn’t you clean?
Taliban • The mujahideen kill my father, 22-years-old my brother.
Business • He had export-import business from Turkish. Shampoo, soft, perfume. Sometimes from Dubai. My job is in Rushya I am director of NGO and also teacher of college. I work with another people. It’s Empowering Education. We work with teach the Rushya children and also Afghan children.
Language • It’s not learn the language. It’s not easy. It’s tak a long time. When I was in seventh grade, the schoo have one subject, English. My university I have different. Five years Russian, but if forgot everything about English. When I was in Rushya, for me interesting. I decided I have to learn English. My friend have schoo. I started from alphabet, ABC. Combine 1,2,3,4. Because there is no people I have to talk with, my English broken for now also. I know Russian 50%. Tajik, Dari, Pashto, English.
Learning English • My co-worker help a lot when I talk with them. Each one of them different talking. After six month, I start to understand. Boss told I have to take English class. My kids try. They talk by English. I don’t want to talk with them by English. I don’t wan them to forget native language.
Work • I’m work for it’s the company named AmeriBen. Adminisdrashyun for Blue Cross/Blue Shield. It’s computer work. I do a lot of stuff..., like make the repur form Internet. They need the more training. My English is not good. It’s hard for me to explain on the phone.
Children • I have two boys, one girl. My older son Mustafa is 18 and wants to be student on BSU. He wants to take law school, be a lawyer. My daughter, Zazohal, 13. She want to be in the future journalism. She learn Persian language writing. Other son, Ramin, 17. He wants to be businessman. He wants to follow international trade.
Politics and Violence • Reality of war…….
Future • I do have a plan to make money for the future. I hope God give me enough money for my life. I’m thinking about my kids and their dream. If I help them, maybe I be a saxuful mom. America give a lot of freedom to a lot of people.
