  1. Petkiosk.com.sg Manual for Healthy Life of a Pet Bird The family, in recent times, just not only consists of humans but also animals and birds. They are treated equally like any other family member, getting a proper kennel or if it’s a bird, a cage. The birdcage shops in Singapore are seeing a rise as more people are moving towards feathered friends rather than four-legged friends. But problem arises when the owners are not aware of how to shop for the cages so the feathered creatures can have a long and healthy life. The birdcage shops in Singapore and all others around the globe usually advises the owner to follow certain procedure, so that the pets can get the best home and can have the best time of their life. •First of all, the owner should decide the area where the cage will be kept in the home. The area should be away from windows and drafts, yet in an active part of your home to encourage your pet's social development. •Choosing the right size of the cage is important. But it is always said, “the bigger the cage the better”. Keeping a bird in a cage that's too small can lead to undesirable behaviors such as screaming, biting, psychological disorders, and feather plucking, to name a few. Don't forget to take into account the space that will be lost when the bird's perches, food bowls, and toys will be added. •The next step comes with a choice of the shape of the cage. It is usually suggested by the veterinarians to have angled cages as the round cages are detrimental to birds' psychological health. •The bar spacing should also be kept in mind. Small birds need less spacing between the bars than the large birds. With a little planning and careful decision making, one should be able to choose a cage that will meet all the expectations while providing the bird a safe, sturdy, and secure living space!
