ReligionHindus (India) and Muslims (Pakistan) • The area of India was controlled by the British up until 1947 • After the British gave up control of India the separate cultures fought • The main cultural difference was religion; Hindu v. Islam • This division led to the Partition of India which divided the territory into India (Hinduism) and Pakistan (Islam) • Today the two different religions still do not get along. The countries now are India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh.
