Schedule of Reports November 13: 1st Reading December 4: Town Meeting (6:30 p at Redding MS Auditorium) December 11: 2nd Reading
Goal • Propose new feeder pattern: • Early Childhood Centers (2008)
Factors to Consider • Balanced enrollment in grade-level schools, anticipating growth • Equitable distribution of students based on ethnicity • Equitable distribution of students based on “socio-economic” status (Free/Reduced Lunch) • Students would remain with others from their community to attend the school nearest their community
Dangers To Avoid (if possible) • Moving one border community back and forth between schools in successive redistricting plans. • Students assigned to a school and would drive by a same grade-level school.
Services Utilized • Technology Management and Design (DOE, Don Berry) • University of Delaware (John Laznik) • ArcGIS Software • ESchool (DOE) • Trapeze Redistricting Software (Tulowitzky)
