  2. Conducting Field Trials • To conduct a field trial a permission letter must be written to the regional manager and his permission granted. • This allows for the exemption of participants from having a hunting license.

Permission Letter • Permission letter must be done 15 days before start of trial. • Can do one e-mail or letter for the season to Alan Peterson (Region 1 Manger) • Can include all trials in Region 6 conducted in West Tennessee (Region 1) • Needs to include the county and approximate dates • Length of trial depends on number of dogs entered • Do include a possibility of rescheduling due to weather

BOX 69 HOLLOW ROCK, TN 38342-0069 December 01, 2010 Mr. Alan Peterson TWRA Region 1 200 Lowell Thomas Drive Jackson, TN 38301 Dear Mr. Peterson; We are requesting permission to have the Carroll County Amateur Bird Dog Field Trial on January 27, 28, 29 and 30, 2011. Also starting on February 19, 2011 we are requesting permission for the Lynn Taylor Open All-Age Memorial Trial. This is a qualifying trial for the National Championship Trial so we cannot limit the number of days we will run. Length of trial depends on the number of dogs entered. Any TWRA employee would be welcome to spend the day with us or stay for the entire trial.  The major portion of the trials will be run on the grounds owned our club president, David Williams. We also have permission from the other land owner and member of the club, Harold Miller, to cross his property. We will not be on any landowner’s property without permission Grounds are located near the community of Buena Vista 4.5 miles east of Huntingdon and 4.5 miles south of Hollow Rock in Carroll County. Club headquarters, barn and kennels are on Smyrna Road 1.5 miles south ofthe Huntingdon-Buena Vista Road in Carroll County, TN. If you have any questions you may call me at 731-586-2512. Small Game Preserve • Greater than 25 acres • Allows shooting year round • No license needed to hunt or train dogs • Allows the release of a variety of birds • $150.00 a year • Property must be posted with Wildlife Preserve signs every 50 yards along border • Birds must be from a clean certified source • Records must be kept

  6. Importation • Permit must be obtained before releasing birds • Birds must be from a clean certified source • This includes birds obtained from Tennessee or any other state • Must keep records of birds imported and released • $25.00 a year

  8. Tennessee Quail Season now closes January 31 instead of February 28. Limit is 6 birds.
