Friday of Departure February 11th 2011 Riots and violence continued as Mubarak would not step down At 6 PM Vice President Omar Suleiman announced that Mubarak would step down Control of the government would be handed over to the Supreme Council of Egyptian Armed Forces
Overview In total the revolution only lasted for 18 days According to the official numbers 846 people were killed and 6,000 were injured Egyptians claim, the numbers are much higher and many people have “disappeared”
