Project 1 : WIE AG Pilot Program • Project objectives : to form WIE AGs in diversified areas in R10 to guide for performing activities in less active or in-active WIE AGs to encourage WIE membership development and retention of WIE membership after graduation • How does this project help you meet your committee’s objectives? : (1) Launch an Q&A in WIE R10 website and an in IEEE Collabratec, (2)Target Pilot WIE AGs, (3) Identify the inactive AGs and their features, (4) Set the Pilot AG’s example activities to guide the formation and to learn problem of inactive WIE AGs , (5) Design WIE One-get-One (WIEOGO) Program, (6) Develop strategy for WIE membership development and retention of WIE membership • Project measureable deliverables : (1) No. of newly formed WIE AGs (focus at least 3 Section AGs) (2) No. of meetings with leading persons in sections that have no WIE AGs (3) No. of events conducted by AGs after receiving benefit of WIEOGO program (4) No. of discussions for WIE membership development (5) No. discussions for retention of WIE membership. • Budget breakdown, Expenses ($0) • Project Milestones leading to completion : By December 2018
Project 2: WIE Collaborate Support Fund 2018 • Project objectives : to help initiate/motivate new projects/activities jointly with YP, SBs and LMAGs in R10 by providing full/partial support fund for project implementation to the section AGs/SB AGs (etc.. mini SYWL Congress in sub-regions) • How does this project help you meet your committee’s objectives? : (1) Seed funds partially help establish/continue the implementation of full scale projects in various R10 sections WIE AGs together with YP and SBs, (2) Encourage proposal submission from Sections jointly with YP,SBs and LMAGs in R10 sub-regions . (All project submissions require endorsement from Sections) • Project measureable deliverables : (1) No. and Quality of submission, (2) Review/Evaluation Results, (3)Quality and innovativeness of the project (4) Report for the R10 newsletter • Budget breakdown – To be determined ( together with YP, SB Committees under MD activities supervised by VC) • Expenses – Maximum 5 Activities • Project Milestones leading to completion : March----June----October 2018
Project 3: WIE Visibility Enhancement through R10 events • Project objectives : To enhance networking and knowledge sharing of WIE in R10 and WIE flagship events such as in TENCON/TENSYMP/HTC/SYWC etc.. • How does this project help you meet your committee’s objectives? : To support/cooperate with the following flagship programs in Region 10 events or WIE new initiatives • Global WIE Summit in R10 sections • WIE track at TENCON/TENSYMP /HTC • WIE track at R10 SYWC • IEEE WIE tech Conference • Other Flagship Conference or Summit in R10 Project measureable deliverables : (1) No. of WIE new initiative Programs (2) Quality and innovativeness of regular programs (3) Inter committee contribution (4) Number of participants (5) Report for the R10 Newsletter • Budget breakdown – Total $2500 • Expenses Maximum 5 Projects ($500 for each event as the extra fund for promotion fee of WIE membership development or WIE branding) • Income : From Region 10 ($2500) • Project Milestones leading to completion : by November 30th, 2018
Project 4: 2018 R10 WIE Awards • Project objectives : to identify outstanding WIE AGs, SB WIE AGs and excellent WIE volunteers to receive R10 WIE award and nominate them for MGA Awards • How does this project help you meet your committee’s objectives? : to recognize the best WIE AGs and excellent volunteers to be nominate for MGA awards • Project measureable deliverables : • No. of nominations • Diversity for award recipients • No. of outstanding WIE volunteers to be nominated for consideration of MGA Awards • Budget breakdown : Expenses • Group Awards (Plaque) • Individual Awards (Certificate) • Income • Project Milestones leading to completion(Yet to confirm) : • Calls for nomination deadline – May 2018 • Award announcement – September 2018
Changes for R10 WIEC 2018: • Single and routine WIE event will not be supported by R10 to any WIE Affinity Group. • Mini SYW Congress will be addressed this year. SYW activities for groups of sections or councils or countries will be supervised by WIE, YP, SB committees together and the proposal budget will be considered as a whole.
