DEFINISI SEKOLAH BERKESAN Sekolahberkesanialahsekolah yang melahirkanpelajaryang majuataulebihtinggidaripadaapa yang diharapkanberdasarkankeadaanpengambilannya. “An effective school is one in which studentsprogress further than might be expected from consideration of its intake” Mortimore (1991)

Falsafah Pendidikan Kebangsaan • Pendidikan di Malaysia adalah suatu usaha berterusan ke arah memperkembangkan lagi potensi individusecara menyeluruh dan bersepadu untuk mewujudkan insan yang seimbang dan harmonis dari segi intelek, rohani, emosi dan jasmani berdasarkan kepercayaan dan kepatuhan kepada Tuhan. Usaha ini adalah untuk melahirkan rakyatMalaysia yang berilmu, bertanggungjawab dan berkeupayaan mencapai kesejahteraan diri serta memberi sumbangan terhadap keharmonian dan kemakmuran masyarakat dan negara.

Renungan Roland Barth(1981) makes the case for student learning the best when he says, “Nothing within a school has more impact upon students in terms of skills development, self-confidence, or classroom behavior than the personal and professional growth of their teachers. When teachers examine, question, reflect on their ideas and develop new practices that lead towards their ideals, students are alive. When teachers stop growing, so do their students”.
