Who were the Plateau Native Americans? They came from Europe. They were farmers. In the fall they would perform a harvest fest. Clothes were decorated with feathers and beads.
What did they eat? • They ate bitterroot, camas bulbs, currants, huckleberries, salmon, rabbit meat, deer, elk, antelope, mountain sheep, goat, and bear.
How did they live? • Lived in teepees. • Rode horses. • Were the first people to live in Washington. • Had weapons from other types of people. • Were friends with Lewis and Clark. • The Plateau and missionaries had a different point of view.
What kinds of jobs did they have • The women wove rugs and sewed teepees. • Hunted deer and elk. • To fish for salmon. • To train and ride horses.
