Copper Soldering Technique • Measure Copper to be cut • Mark with pencil or marker
Copper Soldering Technique • Cut Copper pipe using wheel cutter • 1/8 Turn after each rotation until cut
Copper Soldering Technique • Ream Copper Piping • Remove Burrs • Prevent Friction Loss
Copper Soldering Technique • Clean Outside of Pipe • 1” from end • Bright Shiny finish • Use Sand clothe to clean thoroughly
Copper Soldering Technique • Flux The Outside of the pipe • 1” from the end • Use the brush • Apply evenly
Copper Soldering Technique • Clean copper fitting • Use fitting brush • Match brush to fitting • Clean inside • Bright Shiny Finish

Copper Soldering Technique • Insert Pipe into Fitting • Rotate the fitting slightly • Make sure it bottoms out
Copper Soldering Technique • Light Torch and apply heat to the pipe in sweeping motion • Draw the solder into the joint with capillary action • Do Not over heat will cause Oxidation
Copper Soldering Technique • Wipe the joint with a wet rag to cool and remove flux. • Inspect joint , reheat and solder if not complete • Steel wool area to bright shine finish
