Overview - EIS Governance Exide IS Steering Committee Meets on a regular frequency to evaluate technology projects that exceed $250K. Members include the division Presidents, CFO, Controller & CIO. Division IS Steering Committee Meets when needed but not less than once every 6 months. Purpose is to review significant projects and any support issues. Members include division Presidents and functional VPs. Informal but regular meetings with Division Presidents and key staff members to review business strategy and opportunities to use technology to improve customer service or reduce internal costs. Major Initiatives • Project Phoenix • European initiative to reduce the number of legacy ERP systems from 5 to 1. • Reduce TCO • Establish “Best Practice” Standards • Support future business process changes • Stretch the life of existing assets and delay cost of implementing a new ERP application. • Project TRIO • Reduce the cost of supporting the technical infrastructure • Invest savings to fund needed infrastructure upgrades to improve performance and reduce risks. • Streamline and align technical support to react quicker to business requests • Global Network • Implement a global MPLS network replacing hub-and-spoke (frame) and point to point communication links. • Improve performance and provide full backup to all sites.
