Section II µWarp µIPBX INSTALLATION

Configuration Work Flow Connect to the µIPBX over IP STEP 1 STEP 2 • Configure the µIPBX through the onboard GUI: • Setup time and date • Provision phones • Setup trunks • Program dial plan • Setup auto attendant • Setup voicemail box • Other features to configure include music-on-hold (MOH), paging etc.
How to Connect to the PIKA µIPBX STEP 1 STEP 2 STEP 3 Establish connection to the µIPBX by plugging in the USB key to yield the unit’s IP address Once the configuration GUI appears, log in using a username & password (default admin / admin) Direct your web browser to the IP address that appears
* IP Phone Provisioning PIKA µIPBX enables full SIP plug-and-play detection and push from the following phone manufacturers: • For phones not on this list, manual provisioning is available, refer to uIPBX user guide (see Important Links page in this manual) • Other phones can be added based on volume opportunity, contact support@pikatech.com
USB Key Usage for the PIKA µIPBX It is not mandatory to use a USB key with the PIKA µIPBX however, it does provide additional storage which allows the following enhancements: Custom IVR prompts storage enabled Voicemail size limits removed (default five per extension @60 seconds) Voicemail formats stored as WAV delivering higher quality & email compatibility MoH single file limit removed Enables remote updates through the GUI Logs

µIPBXDiagnostic Workflow Overview • DETERMINE SOFTWARE REVISION • PEFORM A FACTORY RESET AND RECOVERY • DETERMINE HARDWARE FAULT • DETERMINE SOFTWARE FAULT • PLEASE REFER TO FOLLOWING PAGES FOR DIAGNOSTIC CHALLENGES & SOLUTIONS
Software Debugging • Insert USB key and wait at least 15 seconds, remove and install on a PC. • Check file: uIPBXinfo.txt • Includes version information and IP address • Check file: iIPBX_logs/uIPBX.log • Troubleshooting log • Enabled through GUI • Reporting > System Logs > ‘Start Logging to USB’ • email these files and problem description to support@pikatech.com
Factory reset and recovery Refer to the uIPBX User Guide for doing the following: Factory reset Use this to wipe the unit to factory configuration. GUI > Factory Reset (configuration) Recovery Use this in case of no GUI access. Recovery through USB (file: pikaupbx.reset) Firmware recovery (file: bin file)
How to do a firmware upgrade Refer to the uIPBX User Guide for the following: Via GUI Preserves current configuration. GUI > Update, and follow procedure. Via USB Key Use this in case of no GUI access. Place firmware BIN file on USB key, insert into USB port on unit.
