  3. SHS Boys’ Hockey Try-out Information • In accordance with the MSHSL – we will begin our try-outs on Monday, November 11th: • Monday, November 11th: • Check-in3:00-3:15 • On Ice 3:30-5:30 • Tuesday, November 12th: • On Ice 3:30-5:30 • Wednesday, November 13th: • On Ice 3:30-4:45

  4. SHS Boys’ Hockey Rules/Expectations • ***Please read through the Rules/Expectations packet with your son. There are areas where you and or your son need to sign and return to the coaching staff before tryouts*** • All of these items are on my school website.

  5. Parental Concerns/Conflict • It is our belief that all parties involved in any conflict, which may arise want one thing, what is best for the student-athlete. Because of this reason we, as a staff, have come up with a few guidelines to follow when addressing a concern: • We will only speak to a concerned parent after we have talked to a concerned athlete first. • ***Emails concerning playing time will not be responded to.*** • Every Player has a specific ROLE on the team – which will determine playing time in certain situations, or line combinations. • Please be considerate of our friends and family members and direct concerns to us only. Thursday December 26th, 27th, and 29th Guaranteed 3 games for both Varsity and JV Grand Forks Holiday Varsity/JV Tournament Hotel rooms are already blocked off – we will communicate how to reserve your rooms after the teams are finalized. The parents will be staying in a separate hotel from the players and staff.
