  2. Summary • In this book there is a girl named Jamie and she meets a beautiful pony named McIntosh. And McIntosh’s owner is giving McIntosh away. Will Jamie really be able to get a pony of her own? Jamie’s mom thinks that McIntosh is too good to be true, is he really too good to be true? Who knows? Read the book to find out.

  3. Characters The characters are: Jamie, the girl who wants a pony Gwen, the owner of the pony McIntosh, a chestnut pony Jamie’s Mom, who lets Jamie go see the pony Cynthia, another girl that wants the pony Cynthia’s father, who thinks McIntosh isn’t well behaved.

  4. What happens • Jamie sees an add about a free pony at the shopping mall. • Later she gets to see the pony with her own eyes. • She really likes the pony and he likes her, but another girl may already have plans to take the pony. • When Jamie goes to say goodbye to McIntosh he shows how much he likes her and picks her as his new owner.
