The Purpose Driven Journey Every journey follows a path. Some journeys wander, some take the quickest route between two points. This journey, the Purpose Driven Journey, follows a path set throughout scripture; it is a strategic response to Jesus' call to his followers, passed along to us, to "make disciples of all nations." This journey is a call to each and every Christian, especially those in leadership, to be effective in taking on our Master's work. This journey starts with an understanding of what God is doing, in history, now and into the future. It is a journey that is about the Gospel of the Kingdom. For the Global Glory of God
The Lord’s Prayer Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your Kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one,for yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen. Matthew 6:9-13
The Purpose Driven Journey Begins and Ends with the Glory of God We are about God’s glory, his kingdom, and his power forever. Why? Our Father is a king. As our Father and King he leads us, he guides us, he watches out over us and he takes care of our needs each and every day. When my Father asks me to do something, I must willingly obey as a faithful son. But, when the King speaks, as happy subjects of his kingdom; we have only one real obligation, and that is to say “yes” to the King.
The Scripture Reveals God’s Will and God’s Plan – It is Our Foundation History is moving towards a climax, a conclusion. As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall give praise to God.’ So, then, each of us will give an account of himself to God. Romans 14:11-12 The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will weed out of his kingdom everything that causes sin and all who do evil. They will throw them into the fiery furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Matthew 13:41-42
The Scripture Reveals God’s Will and God’s Plan – It is Our Foundation God is love and he wants all of us with him in eternity. For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, so that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16 The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9
The Scripture Reveals God’s Will and God’s Plan – It is Our Foundation So what does God expect from us? He has given us a message of reconciliation to be declared to all of the nations of the world: Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; he old has gone, the new has come! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men's sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God. 2 Corinthians 5:17–20
The Scripture Reveals God’s Will and God’s Plan – It is Our Foundation God’s plan is his church. I will build my church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it. Matthew 16:18 He’s given us a task to do. …All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.Matthew 28:19-20
“… go and make disciples of all nations.” What is a disciple? How do we make them? How do we go to all nations?

Christ-Like Disciples from Healthy Churches Will Reach the World for Christ Balanced believers, living life on purpose, will do what Jesus did. The gigantic problems of lost people, corrupt leaders, sickness, poverty, and ignorance must be addressed by God’s people. A Purpose Driven Life Brings Glory to God Obedience is better than sacrifice. God is glorified when I live my life according to His purposes. When I understand and adopt God’s purposes for my life, it gives me a reason to live, people to partner with, a meaningful job to do, and vision for the future. At my life’s end, because of obedience I have lived my life on purpose.
Is Your Heart Broken by the Things that Break the Heart of God? Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.“ Matthew 9:35-38
