Update on Underutilized Data • Each year UNM required to submit an Affirmative Action Program (AAP) Report • A snapshot of data taken around end of Oct • UNMJobs is an applicant tracking system that provides the data to process the AAP report • Provides place for departments to confirm what staff positions are underutilized and require additional recruitment efforts

Update on Underutilized Data • For staff positions – Underutilized data is loaded at the classification • UU Data on staff classifications is representative of placement goals for Main and HSC • Branch Campus Staff Positions are handled separately – No Branch Campus staff positions are considered Underutilized for this year

Update on Underutilized Data • Student Positions are not tracked for underutilization • Underutilization and Faculty Positions • Underutilization data not loaded to classifications for faculty positions • All faculty recruitments require targeted recruitments • Data is collected after the recruitment by OEO

  8. Update on Underutilized Data • UNMJobs Department Originators have the ability to search classifications and view underutilization data for staff positions.   9. Communication on Handling New Underutilized DataEffective February 16, 2011, the underutilized data displayed on staff position classifications will be updated to reflect our current AAP (Affirmative Action Plan).

  10. Communication on Handling New Underutilized DataAs of this date, staff employment transactions will have the potential to change from Underutilized to notUnderutilized or vice versa. Therefore it is important that Department Originators take time to review their actions that have not yet been submitted to the Staff Employment Area for any changes in underutilized status.

  11. Communication on Handling New Underutilized DataEven if the underutilized status has changed on positions that are posted as of February 16, a department will not be expected to change their recruitment strategy to address underutilization. If you have any questions regarding the impact of the update of the underutilized data, please contact your HR Consultant or OEO.

  13. Update • Pleased to report that as of 2/14/2011, there have been 1238 total actions deleted and removed from the pending actions queue • Thank you to those who have cleaned up their pending action queues • If you have not already done so, please take time to clean your queue

  14. Quick Reminder • Department Originators now have the ability to remove actions from their Pending Actions Queue for the following statuses: • Saved Not Submitted • Submitted to Department Approver • Submitted to Dean/Director • Returned to Submitter

  15. Cleaning Up Queues & Demo • The ability to delete actions will give the Dept. Originator more ability to clean up their Pending Actions queues.
