Characteristics • A diocesan priest is a Roman Catholic priest who commits himself to a certain Location, and is ordained into this service of God's people within a diocese.
Mission of Order • Serving the everyday needs of the people in parishes, also administering the sacraments to the people of that parish is part of what they do too. • A Diocesan priest mostly serves as an extension of the bishop.
Rules of the Order • A diocesan priest commits himself to a celibate life, with respect and obedience to the Bishop. • They cannot be married to anyone, they must only follow God alone.
Vows • They are chaste, and obedient towards God. • These priests can never marry. • They must have respect and obedience to God and the Bishop. • He must have the image of Christ in himself to demonstrate to the rest of the church.
Lifestyle • Diosecean priests do masses and many other services for the church, including days of holy obligation such as Christmas, but they also have lives outside of just preaching, they also take part in activities such as sports, and even music.
