  2. Introduction “Getting married is the boldest and most idealistic thing that most of us will ever do.” Was once said by Maggie Gallagher. Wouldn’t you love to help couples everyday of your life fulfill their dreams and complete the boldest thing that can be done in life? I’ve been interested in planning weddings ever since I could remember. This is exactly what I want to do because I love happiness and believe everything should be done with a smile! I believe a career that brings that is nothing but perfect for me. I love the feeling of knowing I helped, and knowing I made a difference in someone's life and with this career that’s what I would be doing daily. In order to get a better understanding of my chosen career field, I will be researching what they do, work environment, how to become a wedding/event planner, pay, job outlook, and similar occupations.

  6. Job Outlook/Employment • Competitive • growing 44% from 2010 to 2020 • faster than the average • Strong competition • Working for healthcare During recession: least likely to be cutback • Move to the southern part of the US when schoolings done

  9. Summary After going through the OOH and researching a few careers I have decided that a wedding planner is not what I would like to do for my future. I’m so glad this project was done because now I believe a psychologist is what I plan on being. I have always been stuck in between the two and never been able to decide but now that I’ve seen the pay check of each career a decision has been made. I’m also more excited to help others in a more positive manner.
