As a neonatal nurse you have the responsibility of giving them any prescribed medication, making them feel comforted, they care for sick newborns’ until they are strong enough to leave the hospital. They attend deliveries, weigh and measure infants, bathe them and monitor their health. They also teach new parents about newborn care. In order to get a better understanding of my chosen career field as a neonatal nurse, I will be researching the nature of work, working conditions, training, job outlook, earnings and a backup career. In doing so I hope that I will be even more passionate about my career field.

Summary After researching this career I am still very interested in being a neonatal nurse. The thing I look most forward to is being able to help infants survive. I will not look forward to having to tell families bad news regarding their children. All in all, I learned a lot. I learned more about what will be expected of me as I branch into this career. I am thoroughly excited to further my education in this field.
