2. Meet the Clients: • Age: 69 • “empty nesters” • Want a comfortable yet sophisticated uncluttered space • Like to read and watch TV. in the bedroom • Enjoy traditional design • Grandchildren visit regularly • They are the only users of the master suite

Bathroom Bedroom • Double vanity • Large shower with frameless glass • Glass block windows • Natural light • Large built in closet • Separate vanity for sitting • Soaking tub • Tile floors • Dark wood cabinetry • King sized bed • Dark Wood floors • Dark wood furniture • Seating area • Television Wants

4. The goal of this design is to give the clients a space of casual elegance and sophistication. • This is achieved in the bedroom by utilizing a neutral color palate of warm greys and rich wood tones and adding textural accents like natural fiber rugs, a beside lamp with a pearlized glass base, and flax-linen curtains. As well as two beautifully upholstered chairs adding a dark grey and a pop of blue with a bold pattern. • The color palate continues into the bath and closet where the floor is a glazed porcelain tile that is reminiscent of wood and the shower features a highly textured, large porcelain tile and the room is then wrapped in a mosaic tile of glass and slate adding color and texture. The cabinets are a dark, quarter sawn oak with a beautiful volga blue granite and all fixtures are a beautiful brushed nickel. The solution

There is plenty of light provided in the bath and closet space thanks to a glass block ribbon window that wraps around the shower, a large single-hung casement window over the tub that will also help with ventilation as well as a door that leads out onto the backyard deck that includes an internal blind for privacy. • The closet is completely custom designed and built for the space with plenty of hanging, shelf, and drawer space for clothes and an entire section devoted to shoes.
