Calculating the HDI: The HDI for any country is calculated using three variables: • Income- measured by GDP per capita • Knowledge- measured by adult literacy and the % of children attending school. • Longevity-measured by life expectancy at birth.
Calculating the PQLI:(Physical Quality of Life Index) The PQLI for any country is calculated using three variables: • Literacy • Life Expectancy • Infant Mortality
