  2. Battle of the Atlantic • GOAL: to deliver supplies and soldiers to the allied powers to help push back the axis powers • Control of the Atlantic was very important • Germany had a very powerful navy at the start of wwii • Germany’s Bismarck sunk in 1941 by GB
