  2. WHAT IS CHIROPRACTIC? • Chiropractic is a health care professional focused on the diagnosis and treatment neuromuscular disorders. The idea of chiropractic concentrates on disorders of the musculoskeletal system and the nervous system, and the effects of these disorders on overall health.

  3. What does a Chiropractor treat? • Neck Pain • Back Pain • Headaches • Sports-related Injuries • Joint pain within the arms or legs • Car Accident Victims • Many More!

  4. Functions of the Spine • Helps and allows movement • Maintain and balance weight • Protects the nervous system

  5. Treatments • Spinal Manipulation (Chiropractic Adjustment) • Adjusting the spine allows unblocks nerve energy and allows for a better flow • Adjusting the spine changes the position of the body and realigned the spine into proper position

  7. History of Chiropractic • In the 1890’s, a man by the name of Daniel David Palmer (Dr.) founded what is now known as Chiropractic. • In 1896, Palmer took his newly discovered practice to a school in Davenport, Iowa, to teach students about his affective method.

Doctor of Chiropractic • Often referred to as Chiropractors • 3-5 years at an accredited chiropractic college • 4,200 hours of classroom, lab, and clinical experience • 555 hours of adjustive technique and spinal analysis • National board exam and all state exams for where chosen practice is located

  10. X-RAYS • Many chiropractic offices have an actual x-ray machine. The chiropractor can take an x-ray and than go over what he sees with you once it is developed!
