  1. Air Valve Switch System Upgrade for MACI 2500L Fire Truck Current system Operation (Structural) The current valves operate when is applied to one side of the switch. To close the valve, you have to move to switch to the closed position and wait for the air to exhaust. Then you have to move the switch to EM or Neutral Position Otherwise the Air that left in the closed side will not when trying to open the valve in CFR Mode. The Valves are DUMMY VALVES. If you leave a valve in closed position, it will keep air to that side of the valve. When air is applied to open side of valve in the Other Mode, you have equal pressure to both sides of the valve and it will not move. This was the problem encountered during testing at Ft McCoy Changes needed for Upgrade Use Air over Electric switches with Valve closes automatically when switch is off.( Like spring loaded to closed position) Switches have to open in both CFR and Structural MODES
