CALENDAR EVENTS • Coaches Meeting: Feb. 9th & 16th at 10:30 am at AIYS • Field Day:  Feb. 16th from 9:00-Noon  *Earn volunteer hours and help get the fields ready for the season. • Practices Begin: Feb. 18th *Please sign up for RainedOut (parent’s tab)Little Kickers (U4) Parent Meeting: Feb. 20th *You will receive an email with your designated time.  • Games Begin: March 2nd (season will run through May 18th)

Academy Practice Schedule Monday: U10, 2 training practices, 5-5:45 and 5:45-6:30 Tuesday: U8, 2 training practices, 5-5:45 and 5:45-6:30 Wednesday: U4 LilKickers 3 training slots, 4:45, 5:20, and 5:50 Thursday: U6, 2 training practices, 5-5:45 and 5:45-6:30 DOC Andy Francis and Coaches will work with all player on technical soccer skills at each practice.

PARENT’S NOTES • Playing time • Youth recreational soccer focuses on the development of the player.  It is an opportunity for each child to learn individual skills and teamwork skills.  • Youth recreational soccer is not focused on winning or losing; it is about each child playing to the best of his or her ability while having fun.  • It is about rewarding effort.  • Therefore, regardless of ability, each recreational player is guaranteed playing time during one half of each game. • It is the coach’s responsibility to ensure that every child plays an appropriate amount of time.

UNIFORMS Recreational Teams: • Emails will come from Custserv@sportsendeavors.com (Sooccer.com) with ordering details for your kit. • Kit cost will be about $40 plus S&H • 2 Jerseys (Red and White) • 1 Shorts (Blue) • 1 Pair of Socks (Blue) • If you do not need the whole kit you can purchase it by item. • Shipping is about 2-3 weeks • Other logo merchandise is available

  11. VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

TEAM MANAGER • Each team needs one to support the coach and the team • Point of contact concerning questions and administrative stuff • Let the coach coach and let the TA answer questions about schedule, snacks duty, what color uniform to wear (hint: always have both jerseys), what field the game is on, directions to fields, etc. • Communication will be coming from TA (ideally)
