Requirements” join activity with RTCA SC-189 will conclude their tasks this year with the editions of : • ED-120 (DO-290) “Safety and Performance Requirements Standard for Air Traffic Data Link Services in Continental Airspace” Change 2  AVAILABLE • ED-110B (DO-280B) “Interoperability Requirements for ATN Baseline 1” revision  AVAILABLE DECEMBER 2007 • ED-148 “Safety and Performance Standard for the Air Traffic Data Link Sevices in Oceanic and Remote Airspace” (ex PU-24 )  AVAILABLE DECEMBER 2007 • ED-149 “Future Air Navigation System 1/A – Aeronautical Telecommunications Network Interoperability Standard” (ex PU-40 )  AVAILABLE DECEMBER 2007

WG Activities (3/4) New WGs: • TF CLIMAX ED-23B necessary up-date required by Climax Operation in 8.33 kHz Channel Spacing Expected WGs: • WG-78 “Data Communication – Next Generation Air Transportation System (NextGen) & SES ATM Research Initiative“ Strong request from the FAA and RTCA to join activities of RTCA SC-214 with the future EUROCAE WG-78. SESAR 2.6.2/D3 conclusions identifies this new RTCA SC-214 and recommends that EUROCAE should respond by creating an equivalent group. Note: SC-214 was already holding it’s kick-off meeting on 5-7 June and a 2nd meeting on 2-4 October 2007 hosted by EUROCONTROL. • WG-79 on “Enhanced Vision Systems (EVS) , Synthetic Vision Systems (SVS) and their combination (ESVS)” (RTCA SC-213)  Probable start beginning January 2008
