  3. Security Contract Renewal Security contract was re-bid Sept 2012 4 proposals received & all 4 firms interviewed Contract is in final stages of award to Securitas New contract in effect January Transition will be seamless

  4. Facility Security Plan Continuing the process of combining FSP between VPA Legacy terminals and APMT 50% complete Target Date - January 2013

Injury Mishap Report Data is from July and August 2012 Outside employees not currently required to report Goal: Class A - 0, Class B - 0, Class C - <13, Class D - < 14 Mishap report criteria • Class A: Fatality or Total Disability • Class B: Partial Disability • Class C: LWD > 30 Days • Class D: All Others • Class E: Near Miss

Property Damage Mishap Report • Data is from July and August 2012 • Goal: Class A - 0, Class B – 0 Class C - < 5, Class D < 268 • Mishap report criteria • Class A: Damage/Loss > $1,000,000 • Class B: Damage/Loss > $ 200,000 • Class C: Damage/Loss > $ 20,000 • Class D: All Others • Class E: Near Miss

  8. OHSAS 18001 SMT continues to meet on a monthly basis to review and develop all components of the 18001 process Large components of the process have been completed • Training Matrix • Updated terminal safety rules • Facility Risk Assessments Apply for registration June 2013

Superstorm Sandy Storm preparations Implemented VPA/VIT Storm Plan • Conducted conference calls with VPA,VIT and terminal tenants/operators twice daily to protect human and physical assets • Assembled terminal ride-out teams Embedded with Coast Guard before, during, and after the storm • Provided ship priority schedule to USCG Community outreach via social media, VMA TMTA; terminal emergency notification system

  10. Superstorm Sandy Assisted with coordination of the Port’s damage assessment process Conducted terminal damage surveys FEMA Storm Preparation submission • $131,000 Labor went outside contract to meet operations needs

Lessons Learned Rail at both facilities was a limiting factor in moving freight off terminal quickly Lines that declared force majeur had a bigger impact than expected • Cargo had to be moved multiple times to make way for additional freight  Proper planning led to no damage or injuries Coordinated and effective communication Entire maritime community performed in an outstanding manner
