German Plane • Fighter planes accounted for 47% of the planes produced in Germany during the war • About 54% of the fighter planes were Messerschmitt Bf 109B • There were 30,573 Messerschmitt Bf 109B Fighter Planes made during WWII • There were more aerial kills with the Messerschmitt Bf 109B than any other aircraft of WWII with 105-109 kills Messerschmitt Bf 109B Fighter Plane

  3. English Plane • This plane is a single seat fighter plane • The Hawker Nimrod had a top speed of 193mph • These planes were in service from 1932-1939 This is a Hawker Nimrod

  4. German Gun This is a MP38 (Maschinenpistole38 • This gun was fully automatic • This was made of machined steel • This gun was used by almost every German squad • It is an earlier version of the MP40

  5. English Gun This is a British VB Light Machine Gun It was introduced in 1925 Britain was the main user of this weapon It weighed 24 pounds This gun not as much used and eventually was overtaken by then Bren

  6. German Artillery • This is a German Stickgrenade • This grenade had a pull cord running down the side of the handle and you pull it to ignite the fuse • This was introduced in 1915 and further developed during WWI • This grenade relied on more of blast effect more than fragment

  7. English Artillery • This is a BL 7.2 inch Howitzer • It was made at the start of WWII • This gun took a crew of ten men to operate • This gun weighed 22,000 pounds

  8. German Tank • This is a Panzer IV • This tank had a crew of five men to operate • It was produced from 1936-1945 • There were about 9,200 of these made

  9. English Tank • This is a Crusader Tank II • It was in operation from 1941-1945 • There were about 5,300 of these made • This took a crew of 4 or 5 men to operate • It weighed 19-20 tons

  10. Why was Germany so feared in WWII • Germany was so feared because they gassed their own people so every else thought that gas could easily be used on them. • People in Britain were even issued gas masks by the government in case of gas being used on them.

  11. Why was Britain feared in WWII • Actually Britain was fearing Germany and they thought that German forces would invade them. • So because of that Britain had most of their troops in Britain.
