  2. What is a verb? • A verb is an action word. It describes what something or someone is doing. • How do you conjugate a verb in English?

Conjugating in Italian • Italian verbs come in 3 forms ARE, ERE, and IRE • Verbs have different endings according to which group they are in. • How do you know which group they are in? • The infinitive will end in either ARE, ERE, or IRE • What is an infinitive? • The un-conjugated form of a verb

  5. ARE verb meanings • Using the sheet provided and your Italian dictionaries, find what each verb means in Italian.

  6. Conjugating in Italian • Look at infinitive to make sure it is an ARE verb. • List subject pronouns in chart form. • Drop ARE from verb • Add appropriate endings for each person • Use in a sentence!!!!
