Propuesta de una Red Domestica El propósito del diseño de la red domestica es compartir información, recursos e intercambiar datos, (impresora) y aplicaciones entre las diferentes estaciones de la red. La conexión es una red Lan, ya que el área utilizada es relativamente pequeño y predeterminado y permite que los usuarios envíen o reciban archivos y compartan el acceso a los archivos y a los datos. Cada ordenador conectado a una LAN se llama un nodo. Para el diseño de esta red domestica es necesario utilizar una topología en estrella en la que las estaciones de trabajo se encuentran conectadas a un punto central (switches) que permita compartir recursos, e intercambiar datos, aplicaciones y conexión a Internet. Una de las ventajas de usar una red domestica es que los dispositivos conectados pueden estar en sitios diferentes de la casa al igual se comparten recursos.
