  9. US RDA Test and SACO • RDA 9.0 and LC’s expansion of scope • Non-human and fictitious entities may be considered creators, contributors, etc. for works, expressions, manifestations, and items

US RDA Test and SACO • SACO impact : None • SACO members not officially participating in the US RDA Test should continue to submit LCSH proposals for these entities as before • RDA preferred name authority heading, if found, may be used as a subject added entry in a bibliographic record • Or, a SACO proposal may be submitted to LCSH

US RDA Test and SACO • SACO impact : None • SACO members not officially participating in the US RDA Test should continue to submit LCSH proposals for these entities as before • RDA preferred name authority heading, if found, may NOT be used as a subject added entry in a bibliographic record • RDA authority records 008/15 = b (Heading use—subject added entry) and 667 SUBJECT USAGE note • An RDA record would have a distinctive family name in the 100 and a general LCSH heading in the 600
