The Subcontractor Safety Subcommittee is an advisory group to the Fermilab ES&H Committee, formally known as the Laboratory Safety Committee, and is responsible for recommending guidelines for the safety of subcontractors working at Fermilab. The guidelines are intended to ensure that hazards inherent within the Fermilab site are communicated to all subcontractors and that hazards associated with the work are identified, analyzed and mitigated to Fermilab’s acceptance, with the goal of protecting subcontractor and Fermilab personnel, environment and property. The Subcontractor Safety Subcommittee (S-3) has as its overall charge taking an active interest in developing an ever-improving standard of safety within the Laboratory.
