Specific Objectives • To practice security staff in the procedures for handling unauthorized cargo discovered and reported by a ship alongside • To test the lines of communications for reporting incidents on board ships alongside the Port Facility

Specific Objectives • To enhance the security awareness of threats to the Port Facility • Meet or better the specified benchmark response times for this drill

Required Attainments • Security staff will be able to: • Apply the procedures for reporting of security incidents on board ships alongside the Port Facility • Take action on unauthorised cargo found on board ships • Detect anomalies in cargo security measures

Scenario • Cargo delivered to a ship at a Port Facility should undergo several security checks • Unauthorised cargo has been smuggled on board a ship alongside

Scenario • The ship claims the contraband is not in its cargo manifest, and that the unauthorised cargo was embarked at this Port Facility • Security checks should be performed efficiently to expedite the cargo handling process

Controller Tasks • Ship crew 1: • To report to Port Facility security that a pallet of unauthorised cargo has been found on board
