Subcommittee Meeting Outcome • Discussed a plan to post PTCS materials online (need RTF url here) • Reviewed RTF approved PTCS Service Providers list • Discovered that ECOS needs official RTF approval to be a PTCS Service Provider for the entire region • Raised the issue of whether the RTF should/wants to do regular follow-up with Service Providers to ensure compliance with the standards • Discussed the need to revise the PTCS Duct Sealing Specifications and agreed to work through the issues via email • Developed recommended changes to the PTCS Service Provider Standards
PTCS Service Provider Standards – Subcommittee Recommendation #1 • Revise the stated purpose of PTCS quality Control and Quality Assurance to focus on the technician.
PTCS Service Provider Standards – Subcommittee Recommendation #2 • Require providers of the “technician certification service” to decertify technicians.
PTCS Service Provider Standards – Subcommittee Recommendation #3 • Add options for methods of re-certifying technicians.
PTCS Service Provider Standards – Subcommittee Recommendation #4 • Require providers of “quality control service” to contact poorly performing technicians.
PTCS Service Provider Standards – Subcommittee Recommendation #5 • Add another exception to the 10% QA rule.
