  3. 2013 Year in Review • Congratulations to State Champions (Greenwich, Stamford, Simsbury) • Congratulations to 6 HSAA players from CT • Empire GU Summer 7s series • Age Grade and Rookie Rugby Growth • Youth Development Officer • 5013C Status • Overall 25% growth year over year.

  6. Safety First • Concussion Training • Medical personnel requirement • Level 100 • Transition from non contact to contact rugby

  7. Code of Conduct • Proactive measure • Addresses player safety, behavior by all parties, and responsibilities • To be signed by each club director or head coach

  8. Coaching Development • All coaches must be Level 100 certified • Each Head coach by level must be Level 200 certified. • Level 200 held October 20th in CT • Determination of how many people need to take Level 200 by Spring 2014

  9. Referee Development • Need to recruit more referees for every level • Respect for referees is critical to growth and integrity of game • Level 1 held in September in Southington • Goal is two Level 1 courses and one Level 2 held in Connecticut each year.
