General Objective To impart a greater sense of awareness among employees of the security threat to the Port Facility
Specific Objectives • To raise the awareness among employees of the threat from vehicles loitering outside the Port Facility • To practice security staff in the procedures for handling vehicles loitering outside the Port Facility premises without legitimate reason • To practice suspicious vehicle identification and verification procedures • Meet or better the specified benchmark response times for this drill
Required Attainments • Security staff will be able to: • Note unfamiliar vehicles parked outside the Port Facility in good time • Recognise suspicious activity by vehicles near the Port Facility • Interdict undesirable activity that may be detrimental to the Port Facility

Scenario • A terrorist cell is planning an attack on port installations • They plan to destroy a key installation in a Port Facility with a vehicle bomb parked outside the facility • All security personnel are to be especially vigilant over this period
