3. Developmental Education Program Survey (DEPS)
DEPS is designed to help the THECB better understand how developmental education is accomplished across the state and at individual institutions.
The DEPS will cover the following developmental education areas: General Information, Academic Advising, College Readiness Assessment, Course Information, and Faculty Development, ESL.
DEPS helps to identify differences in program structure and support between institutions of higher education.

4. What Kind of Survey is DEPS?
DEPS is a questionnaire style survey with forced choice and closed ended questions.
Logic branching is used in this survey.
For example, if the respondent selects “yes” to a question, the survey will automatically jump to the next relevant question.
Length on paper is not the same online.
5. Survey No sensitive data is collected on DEPS.
You will be allowed you to change data you already submitted until you certify your response.
Strongly advise that as the Designee, you should be the only person entering data.
All online surveys are password protected. 5 Passwords will be given at the end of the training session.Passwords will be given at the end of the training session.
6. Survey Completion
It is recommended that you complete the survey on paper prior to entering the information into the online system.
You will have access to the survey in order to make hardcopies. 6 PLEASE be sure to fill out the forms correctly. Once information is completed on paper, and the electronic version is accessed online, it should take no longer than 20 minutes to complete.

Use your CB ID, if you do not have one, you will need to sign up for a CB ID.
