PURPOSE OF MEETING • INFORM PUBLIC ABOUT TASK FORCE • Sub-Committee of Planning Board • EXPLAIN THE STUDY PROCESS • REVIEW TASK FORCE WORK TO DATE • NO DECISION AT THIS TIME
OBJECTIVE OF TASK FORCE • TO IDENTIFY & EVALUATE CURRENT & FUTURE NEEDS OF TOWN GOVERNMENT AND BUILDING UTILIZATION FOR THE PURPOSE OF; MAXIMIZING UTILIZATION, REDUCING COSTS, PLANNING CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT, AT MINIMUM PROPERTY TAX INCREASE TO PROPERTY OWNERS. • PROVIDE THE PLANNING BOARD WITH DATA REQUIRED TO MAKE RECOMMENDATIONS TO TOWN GOVERNMENT ADMINISTRATION & LEGISLATION
BACKGROUND • Town Owns 9 Major Buildings • Main Fire Station • East Wash. Fire House • Public Works Garage & Transfer Station • Old School House – Police Station • Camp Morgan Lodge • Elementary School Building • Town Hall • Old Town Garage – Half Moon Pond Rd. • Library • Maintenance, Utilities, & Insurance Costs = $ TAXES $ • Selectmen Charged Planning Board to Provide a Plan

Storage (old stone bldg.) • 2 Storage Sheds • East Washington – Old School House • Historical Society Holds Deed And Maintains • Ownership reverts to town if Society Fails
