  2. What is the Leo Club? • Community service based • Specifically focused on: • Sight and hearing • Leader dogs • Protecting the environment (Earth Day) • Organizing food drives • Helping the local Lions Club (sponsor us-no dues) • General community service projects in Loudoun

  3. Annual Event Dates • Sterling Lions Club Fruit Sale: Dec. 2,3, & 4 • Sterling Lions Club Wrestling Invitational Tournament: Dec. 17 (Park View) • Fall Leo Conference: Oct.22 • NOVA Lions Youth Camp Clean-up: April • Sterling Lions James A. Bland Concert (Melodee Music): February, TBA

Fall Leo Conference NOVA Lions Youth Camp Clean-up Chantilly, VA A Saturday in April Partnered with Sterling Lions Club The camp is used to hold youth events and would be a community service opportunity to help ensure that the location is kept in good condition • Saturday October 22 at 9:00 am-noon • Embassy Suites Hotel in Ashburn, VA • Training Seminars for new Leos • No fees (complimentary breakfast) • MUST SIGN UP AT NEXT MEETING OCTOBER 4 at 8:15 am.

Officer Elections • Next meeting the elections will be held • Please prepare to tell the club about yourself and why you feel you are qualified • Officers will meet in addition to general club member meetings that will be once a month • Positions: • Vice President • Secretary • Treasurer • Historian • Creative Director • Community Liaison • Student Liaison

  6. Dues and T-Shirts • No Dues, because we are sponsored by the local Sterling Lions Club • Please bring t-shirt ideas to next Tuesday’s meeting! We will be voting on them. • Feel free to get creative!
