CSE 3: Fluency with Information Technology Emily Yuan Overview Desktop Publishing with MS Word Visual Programming with Alice Information Technology fluency including proficiency with computer applications, basic web programming (such as HTML and JavaScript), and data analysis and data presentation. Learned skills for creating organizing documents with bibliography, table of contents, and enwrapped images. Computational Thinking Thinking at multiple levels of abstraction for solving problems and designing systems. Computational thinking also involves going above the whole and thinking about it in a different way. Presentation of Information with MSPowerPoint Created a short video with Alice and learned how to utilize loops and methods to make the objects talk and interact with each other. In this lab, I learned skills for using excel to create spreadsheets for organizing stock profit and investments and creating tables and pie charts to present the information more clearly. Making Information Available to the World with HTML and Web Pages Dynamic Webpage Programming with JavaScript Data Analysis and Visualization with MS Excel Created a CSE3 Page. From there verified that links to the html pages we created worked. Showed the grader our code and link to verify that the proper styled was used and that the links worked. Created excel spreadsheet for personal budgets and monthly expenditures. Learned how to use JavaScript to create a interactive and dynamic webpage that computes the customer’s input to find the price of their purchases.
