Is a pimple distracting people from looking at the entire picture of you? Well have no fear, Photoshop is here! In Lab 8 we learned how to make a wrinkle disappear from under the great Madonna’s eyes as well as color in her roots that were in great need of a new dye job. Then for our homework assignment we learned a nifty way to secretly send messages in a picture! These skills are extremely useful for the average college student. Power Point is a great program to present information in text or diagram form. Favorite Scratch Program First, What is Scratch? Scratch is a program that was written for young students to create simple, fun programs and games. Students manipulate “code blocks” in order to create movement of characters called “sprites” as well as sounds. Baby Catch This assignment was by far my favorite, it was fascinating to me to be able to create such a simple game all on my own. Different ways to use data in Excel The Wonders of HTML Excel is a very useful program that we learned to do many things with. A very simple one was to make budget for our spending. We were also able to make a tic tac toe game using this program. HTML is a language that allows the average person to make their own websites. It’s extremely enjoyable once you master this language. One could make calendars of what they plan on doing for a month and post it online for the world to see. Computational Thinking Is an important and sophisticated way of thinking. In computational thinking one thinks in many different levels of abstraction.
