  1. CSE 3 Information Technology Fluency Andrew Lee Overview of CSE 3 CSE 3, or IT fluency, is a course designed to teach students how to be proficient with computer hardware, basic programming such as Java and HTML, data and info analysis, and presentation. From these skills, students will be able to utilize and excel out in the real world with some sort of IT fluency. Having learned basic skills for Powerpoint and briefly going over Excel, we were able to create our own presentations of our stock findings, as well as comparisons of pricing, growth, and financial changes. Using HTML, we were able to create a homepage that featured basic information about ourselves, as well as being able to utilize many of the basic HTML function such as inserting images, creating tables, and correctly using headings. HTML and Homepage Publishing and MS Word MS Powerpoint Data Analysis, Visualization, and MS Excel Visual Programming and Alice Dynamic Programming: JavaScript Learned to analyze data using Excel functions and formulas, and creating visual data for better analysis. This information was later presented using Powerpoint Using Alice, we were able to create a scenario and become comfortable with functions as well as recalling actions. Importance and appreciation for visual programmers was learned through this lab. Having learned all the basics of functions, variables, etc., we were able to start using JavaScript which was quite a challenge. Function recalls, utilizing buttons, and having it all print on screen were part of these labs. Gained a new appreciation for programmers who are able to fully utilize Java, as well as others, and develop the complex websites that we take for granted every single day. Basic skills of Microsoft Word were learned, and we created our own publishing of our career plan, as well as a sample color explanation sheet.
