QUALITY ASSURANCE: A process guaranteeing that the quality of a product or service meets some pre-determined standards. It is most commonly retroactive. Error Correction. QUALITY IMPROVEMENT A continuous process to compare the quality of what is about to be produced with the quality of what has been produced in the past. You can’t improve quality unless you have an understanding of what problems or deficits exist. A proactive approach to improve systems. Definitions
