Facts to promote Home/School Partnership • Schools have pupils for 20% of their learning opportunities. • Parents and school working together to support children has the most beneficial effect. • Please come and discuss concerns or worries early. • Any parents with subject/craft expertise willing to volunteer please let us know!
When parents become actively involved in home reading their children’s reading scores improve, on average, by between 12 and 18 months
Doing homework regularly throughout their time at school has roughly the same benefit as an extra year’s schooling.
Adults are vital…… ‘the encouragement and active interest of parents/carers are probably the most important ingredients in a child’s school life’ ‘when schools and families work together, children do better.’
Volunteers If you would like to volunteer to help in P3 we need help with the following: • Helpers on visits • Golden Time • Active Maths • Healthy Snack trolley • Library
