The outsidersS. E. Hinton1967Realistic Fiction Carlos Perez 6-Blancas
Setting • They lived in a gang neighborhood, this is important because we will not realize the difficult to live there. • If the setting would be different nobody will help them.
Conflict • The main conflict was the battles between Socs. vs. Greasers. • The conflict is man vs. man.
Summary of Plot • The story is about how ponyboy and his brothers survived in their neighborhood. • They got in a lot of troubles for example: Johnny killed Bob, they were hiding in a church, they saved kids, battles, but they finally get together.
Theme • That some bullies like to bother the kids with insults and aggressions. • Text Evidence 1: bullies want to cut ponyboy’s hair. • Text Evidence 2: they warned not to approach their girls. • Text Evidence 3: they want to kill the greasers.
Point of View • It was first point of view because ponyboy shows his feelings.
Symbolism • Is how the kids can hardly survive in a neighborhood and that some parents does not care what will happened with their childrens.
Recommendation • I like this book because the theme is very realistic and can happened in the real world. • Is very interesting because shows the flashback when they were in the theater.
